The Beacon offers 5 unique rooms for private hire in its lighthouse-style building.
All types of conferences and meetings can be facilitated.
We can provide a full range of conference facilities and catering can be arranged to suit your needs.
Viewing Gallery - 4th floor:
Boasting the most stunning views in town looking over the recently restored Harbour, the 4th floor gallery is the most unique reception space you will find in West Cumbria.
The circular room staged on 2 levels is perfect for wedding receptions, buffets and prize-givings, talks and presentations, or for extra special evening parties.
Harbour Gallery - First Floor:
A modern space with the added attraction of being an art gallery.
When you book The Harbour Gallery you never know what will be decorating the walls.
Archive & Reference Library : First Floor
A quiet meeting space with scholarly ambience. The room can be hired for small group meetings, workshops or classes. Use of the library facilities for personal study is free of charge but must be pre-booked.
Dark Room: First Floor
The photographic dark room has a full range of equipment available for use by experienced photographers or groups learning the art. Please bring your own chemicals and paper.
Activity Room - Ground Floor:
This is our most versatile room. Used for everything from drama classes and childrens’ workshops, to pre- and after-school groups, board meetings, lectures and photographic clubs.
